Despite starting in China in 1991, GREE has quickly grown to become one of the world's largest residential climate factories. The factory, which currently has an annual production capacity of 60 million air conditioners, employs 90,000 people and has 16 assembly halls and 96 research centres worldwide.
In 1994, GREE launched its ‘Highest Quality’ and ‘Failure-Free Operation’ programmes, where 12,000 engineering colleagues participated in developments and patents. As proof of the success of the ‘Highest Quality’ programme, GREE’s Hungarian branch provided a 10-year extended warranty on new high-sidewall air conditioners.
